Business Administration involves organising people and resources. Suitable for people who want to work in administrative support roles in public or private sector organisations, or people who want to improve their administrative and supervisory skills.
Why should I study this qualification?
If you want to work as an Administrator, Office Junior or Receptionist this qualification will provide you with the skills to handle day-to-day tasks in an office environment.
Course structure and content
At the beginning of the course you will complete initial assessments in literacy and numeracy to determine your current level. These will simply identify areas of strength and areas requiring improvement and will assist the Tutor in meeting your learning needs.
You will understand business, develop skills in customer service, administrative tasks, communication and I.T. With the support and encouragement of your Tutor you will take part in a range of class activities.
How will I be assessed?
The Level 1 Business Administration qualification is internally assessed. With the support of your tutor you will complete tasks and prepare a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate you knowledge and understanding of the subject.
Attendance is 2-hours a week for 12 weeks. You will also be expected to complete work in between sessions.
There are no formal entry requirements.
On successfully completing this qualification you may have the opportunity to progress to a Level 2 in Business Administration.
