Youth Employment Initiative

Prior Pursglove and Stockton Sixth Form College are offering a short programme featuring a supported work placement with local employers; you will be guaranteed an interview and/or a college placement.

*From 1st February 2017, Prior Pursglove and Stockton Sixth Form College will not be offering the Routeway Programme as YEI participants; this programme will be available as a Traineeship coordinated by the college.

The programme is aimed at 16 – 24 year olds that may be interested in one or all of the following areas:

  • Leisure and Fitness Industry,
  • Office Environment,
  • Customer Service,
  • Catering.

Prior Pursglove and Stockton Sixth Form College Next Steps programme can enhance employability by offering the following:

  • Food Hygiene,
  • DBS Checks,
  • PPE,
  • First Aid,
  • A related qualification.

Level 2 qualifications in:

  • Health and Social Care,
  • Autism Awareness,
  • Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools,
  • Counselling,
  • Pre-Access,
  • Business Administration,
  • Mathematics and English

Level 3 Diplomas in:

  • Access to HE in Humanities and Social Science,
  • Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools,
  • Business Administration.
