Prior students perform West End classic

Les Mis at PPC

Students at Prior Pursglove College are set to receive rave reviews following their annual musical theatre performance this week.

Performing Arts and Theatre enrichment students have joined forces with local musical theatre school Stagecoach Theatre Arts to put on a fantastic showing of Les Miserables on Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th December in the college’s Stephen Whitehead Theatre.

Rob Clilverd, Director, said: “Organising this production has meant huge effort from a massive team of people: from actors, musicians, choreographers, chaperones/directors for the youngsters, design and set building team…the list seems to be endless and at times it has looked like everything couldn’t possibly all come together in time! But through it all we have been sustained by the enthusiasm of the students involved, and, above all, by the music itself.

“This show works like magic; I defy our audience not to be stirred, moved, shocked and heartbroken by this fabulous music-drama.”

Tickets are available for both matinee (4.15pm) and evening performances (7.30pm) by calling 01287 280800.
