Triple success for Science Student

Upper sixth student Beth Carter has three things to be proud of after receiving an offer from the University of Oxford and achieving awards in the British Biology Olympiad and the Chemistry International Olympiad.

Beth has been given a conditional offer to study Experimental Psychology at The University of Oxford. She is currently studying A Level Chemistry, Psychology and Biology and says she is really excited to be given the offer and will work hard to achieve the grades she needs.

She has also gained the Bronze award during this year’s British Biology Olympiad which is a competition open to only the top achieving Biology students. It consists of two one hour multiple choice papers to be taken online under staff supervised exam conditions and just over 7,000 students from around the UK took part.

As well as this Beth took part in the Chemistry International Olympiad also gaining award in round 1 of the competition.

Faculty Manager Olivia Wytcherley said: “We are extremely proud of Beth. During her time here at Prior she has excelled, from gaining high scores in her exams to her performances in the Biology Olympiad and now the Chemistry Olympiad. We wish her the best of luck for the future”.
