What is Business Administration?
Business Administration involves organising people and resources efficiently and can be based within public or private sector organisations. Processes can include planning, organising, staffing, directing, controlling and budgeting.
Why should I study this qualification?
If you are wanting to change career or expand on your existing knowledge, then this course is perfect you. Providing you with the essential working knowledge you need to carry out a multitude of differing administrative tasks.
This course is for people who want to work in any aspect of business administration in roles such as Receptionist, Administrator, Personal Assistant, Office Supervisor or Team Leader.
Course Structure and Content
Attendance is 2 hours a week for 34-36 weeks, term time only. You will study 3 mandatory units and a further 4 optional units.
How will I be assessed?
You will produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the completion of all required learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
In addition to attending a 2-hour session each week you should allow 3-4 hours a week for further study. It is essential that you aim to achieve 100% attendance in order to cover the specific course criteria. This course requires you to have a work placement.
While having a level 2 Business Administration qualification is desirable, it is not essential. Enrolments will be considered on an individual basis based on your personal circumstances.
