Our open events for 2026-27 are ready to book, and the first one is on Wednesday 14 October, 5pm to 8pm.
If you are in Year 11 and weighing up where to go next September, an open evening is worth more than any prospectus. You get to walk the building, sit in the departments you are actually thinking about, and ask the people who would be teaching you what the course is like week to week.
What the evening is like
There is no set start. Come any time between 5pm and 8pm and stay as long as you want to. Subject teachers will be in their own departments, so you can head straight for the courses you are interested in rather than working through a fixed tour. Bring a parent or carer, bring a friend, or come on your own. All three are normal.
You will be able to:
- talk to the teachers who deliver the courses you are considering
- see the classrooms, labs and studios you would be working in
- ask what the entry requirements really mean, and how to apply
- find out about financial support, the bus routes at 50p a journey and the help available if you need it
- get a straight answer to the question everyone actually has, which is whether you would fit in here
A bit about us, while you are deciding
Prior Pursglove has been teaching in Guisborough for 465 years, and Ofsted rated us good in December 2024 across every area they looked at.
Booking takes about a minute
Book a place and we will email you a ticket straight away with the date, the time, the address and your entry code. Bring it on your phone on the night. If your plans change, book a different date instead. There is no penalty for changing your mind, and no limit on how many of our events you come to.
