Prior Pursglove College qualifies for AoC Sport National Championships

Following months of fierce competition, students from Prior Pursglove College have qualified for the AoC Sport National Championships 2018.

Sixteen youngsters will compete against athletes from colleges across the UK after qualifying to represent their region at the Championships through regional tournaments, hosted throughout the autumn term.

As well as individual glory, the team will be aiming to accumulate points for their region and win the prestigious Wilkinson Sword trophy.

More than 1800 students from across the UK will compete at the 2018 Association of Colleges Sport National Championships which is a celebration of competitive sport in colleges, providing recognition, enjoyment and a unique opportunity for students to compete.

Principal of Prior Pursglove and Stockton Sixth Form College, Joanna Bailey said: “To see such a large number of students and such a wide range of sports is a credit to their talent and dedication together with the hard work and support of our staff.”
