Prior Pursglove College employee and former student, Jacob Ditchburn has spoken about his time working on the TV documentary The Mighty Redcar, which airs tonight on BBC 2.
The series which follows the lives and relationships between two generations living in Redcar, has been described as a real life soap opera. Filmed over a year in the seaside town, it offers a fly on the wall look into what life is like living and growing up here in the North East.
Jacob, who now works as a Creative Arts Technician at the college got to work exclusively with the film production company 72 Films as a script consultant. He worked directly with former student, Madison Cooper, who is the narrator of the series.
He said of his time working with them: “It has been a great experience, everyone who lives here should watch the show. It really paints the North East in a good light and I am really proud of the final product.”
Episode one airs on tonight on BBC 2 at 9pm.
