Teacher of Adult Learning, 0.34, permanent contract
We are seeking to appoint a highly effective and enthusiastic teacher able to engage, inspire and motivate adult students studying on courses ranging from Entry Level up to and including Level 3.
Displaying flexibility and enthusiasm the successful candidate will be able to deliver a range of courses, with proven experience in some or all of the following subjects; Psychology, Counselling, Teaching Assistant and other health and social care related courses. It is essential that you are experienced in assessing, recording and tracking students.
You must have demonstrable high levels of skills in teaching and learning to enable you to deliver a variety of programmes to disengaged and disadvantaged adults. In addition, you will have a proven track record of securing excellent vocational outcomes for students.
Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working with students from a range of different backgrounds are also essential.
You will need to flexible in regard to working hours and location of work, including working up to 2 evenings per week if required and travelling to outreach centres between East Cleveland and Stockton.
Cover Co-ordinator, 37 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract
We are seeking to appoint a Cover Co-ordinator to ensure appropriate levels of Learning Support Assistant and teacher support are in place in all lessons within the Endeavour Faculty ono a daily basis, as well as organising student LSA placements as required. As the role will also involve covering for absent Learning Support Assistants and teaching staff, you must be able to work on a one to one or group basis with our students and have an understanding of the needs of, and empathy for, students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to maintain efficient and effective recording systems are essential. You will also need to be able to demonstrate strong literacy skills and have experience of working with pupils with SEND requirements.
Learning Support Assistant – Level 3, 32 hours 35 minutes per week, term time only, permanent contract
We are seeking to increase our team of Learning Support Assistants who work across the college supporting students (both 16 – 18 and adult) on courses from entry level to level 3. You must be able to work on a one to one or group basis with our students and have an understanding of the needs of, and empathy for, students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will also need to be able to demonstrate strong literacy skills as well as experience of working with pupils with SEND requirements and the ability to maintain efficient and effective recording systems.
In particular, you will be working with students following a level 3 programme of learning, therefore knowledge of Level 3 courses including A levels and BTECs would be an advantage.
Senior Management Information Systems Assistant
37 hours per week, whole year, permanent contract
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with appropriate administration and database systems experience to work predominantly on the Stockton campus, to be involved in the maintenance of student records, analysis and production of reports and systems to deliver information that supports the daily operation and strategic direction of the College.
The successful applicant will have good knowledge of database systems (preferably Capita’s Unit-e student record system) as well as a high level of administration experience. They will also require excellent organisational, analytical and IT and technical skills including excellent attention to detail.
This is a cross site role, and as such the post holder will be expected to work across both the Prior Pursglove College and Stockton Sixth Form College sites.
Teaching Staff – casual contracts
We are looking for teachers to join our pool of casual staff at the Prior Pursglove site to teach across a range of subjects, primarily for our post 19 Adult Provision. This will include evening and outreach work. Subjects to be covered include; Early Years, Health and Social Care, Assessors Award, Business Administration, IAG.
Some subjects are delivered via distance learning, so experience in this type of delivery will be useful.
Salary will be paid as an hourly rate, plus holiday pay, based on the relevant point of the SFCA Teachers’ Pay Range.
Exam Invigilators, casual contracts
We are looking for people to join our team of Exam Invigilators in providing assistance in the day-to-day operation and administration of exams at either the Prior Pursglove or Stockton campus. This is seasonal work, with the majority of exams taking place during May and June each year.
