Trustee (Finance Sector)

Tees Valley Collaborative are seeking to appoint a Trustee from the Finance sector to our Multi-Academy Trust Board as we enter an exciting stage in our development.

The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with experience and a proven track record at a senior level.  Experience of governance and/or strategic planning would be an advantage, as would experience of audit processes.

Our Trust Board meets five times per year in meetings which start at 5.30pm and typically last two hours, taking place in Guisborough or Stockton.

Our Trust is eighteen months old and is in an interesting growth stage where financial expertise is of great importance to provide challenge and support to the CEO and CFO.

2 x Learning Support Assistants, 30 hours per week, term time only, permanent contracts

At the Prior Pursglove College site in Guisborough, we are seeking to increase our team of Learning Support Assistants with the following roles:

Learning Support Assistant (Well Being Mentor) with specific responsibility for mentoring SEND students. You will support teaching staff to deliver skills required for being emotionally healthy and contribute to the development and delivery of the college’s therapeutic programmes.

Learning Support Assistant (Job Coach) with specific responsibility for supporting students in their transition into employment. You will support teaching staff in delivering the skills required for being successful in the workplace and engage with employers to secure realistic employment opportunities.

For both roles, you will work across the college supporting students (both 16 – 18 and adult) on courses from entry level to level 3. You must be able to work on a one to one or group basis with our students and have an understanding of the needs of, and empathy for, students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are required.

Experience of working with pupils with SEND requirements is essential as is the ability to maintain efficient and effective recording systems.

Salary:                        SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine, Points 20-23 (£18,320 – £19,762 pro rata)

Actual starting salary on spine point 20 is £12,471.71 per annum.

Faculty Secretary, 30 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract

At the Stockton Sixth Form College site, we are seeking to appoint a Faculty Secretary who can provide a high standard of secretarial, administrative and clerical support to Faculty Managers and teaching staff, including producing materials and setting up and maintaining administrative systems which support students.

 This is a flexible role within the Administration team and on occasions you will be expected to carry out work in other areas of the college within your capabilities. For example it could require covering customer facing roles (the Resource Centre, main reception) assisting with College events or other general admin tasks.

Salary Scale:              SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine Point 18-21

Creative and Performing Arts Technician, 37 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic technician at our Prior Pursglove campus in Guisborough to support both the Performing and Creative Arts departments.

You will take responsibility for the effective running of the drama and music studios and creative arts areas, having practical experience om stage lighting, sound and set construction, as well as the ability to work across a range of creative arts disciplines, including; Fine Art, Photography and 3D Design. You will need to have good organisation and administration skills.

Flexibility in working arrangements will be essential as hours will be averaged over the academic year in order to include some evenings and weekends.

Salary Scale:              SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine, Points 16-18

Actual starting salary: £14,251.65 per annum (based on a whole year salary of £16,974 per annum)

Teaching Staff – Casual Contracts

We are looking for teachers to join our pool of casual staff at the Prior Pursglove site to teach across a range of subjects, primarily for our post 19 Adult Provision.  This will include evening and outreach work.  Subjects to be covered include; Early Years, Health and Social Care, Assessors Award, Business Administration, IAG.

Some subjects are delivered via distance learning, so experience in this type of delivery will be useful.

Salary will be paid as an hourly rate, plus holiday pay, based on the relevant point of the SFCA Teachers’ Pay Range.

Exam Invigilators, casual contracts

We are looking for people to join our team of Exam Invigilators in providing assistance in the day-to-day operation and administration of exams at either the Prior Pursglove or Stockton campus.  This is seasonal work, with the majority of exams taking place during May and June each year.
