Teacher of Sociology, 0.375, permanent contract

At the Prior Pursglove site in Guisborough, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated teacher who has a passion for teaching Sociology and will be able to motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.

Displaying flexibility and enthusiasm the successful candidate will have the ability to teach A Level Sociology. It is essential that you are experienced in assessing, recording and tracking students.

Successful candidates must have a degree (or equivalent) in Sociology, or in a related subject, along with class teaching experience gained either in a school or college setting. You must have demonstrable high levels of skills in teaching and learning.  In addition, you will have a proven track record of securing excellent student outcomes at vocational and/or A level.

Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working with students from a range of different backgrounds are also essential.

Teacher – Job Description and Person Spec

 

Teacher of Foundation Learning and Health & Social Care, full time,  permanent contract

At the Prior Pursglove site in Guisborough we are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated teacher who has a passion for teaching both Foundation Learning and Health & Social Care related courses from Entry Level to Level 3. You will be able to motivate, enthuse, excite and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.  The age range of students will span from 16-18 to 19+ and you will be working both at the college site in Guisborough and at outreach venues across Redcar & Cleveland and neighbouring boroughs.

It is essential that you are experienced in assessing, recording and tracking students.

Successful candidates must have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, along with class teaching experience gained either in a school or college setting. You must have demonstrable high levels of skills in teaching and learning.  In addition, you will have a proven track record of securing excellent student outcomes from Entry Level to Level 3.

Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working with students from a range of different backgrounds are also essential.

Consideration will be given to offering this role as two part time contracts for the right applicants.

Salary:                        SFCA Teachers Pay Spine up to £38,364 per annum, pro rata

Creative Arts Technician, 15 hours per week, term time only,  permanent contract

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic technician at our Guisborough campus to support the Creative Arts departments.

You will take responsibility for the effective running of the creative arts areas, having practical experience of working across a range of creative arts disciplines, including; Fine Art, Photography and 3D Design. You will need to have good organisation and administration skills.

Flexibility in working arrangements will be essential as hours will be averaged over the academic year in order to include some evenings and weekends.

Salary Scale:             SFCA Support Staff Pay Spine, Points 16-18

Actual starting salary: £5,506 per annum (based on a whole year salary of £16,176 per annum)

We are looking for people to join our team of Exam Invigilators in providing assistance in the day-to-day operation and administration of exams at either the Prior Pursglove or Stockton campus.  This is seasonal work, with the majority of exams taking place during May and June each year.
