Jesus Christ Superstar, by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, tells the story of the last week of Jesus’s life through the eyes of Judas, the friend who betrays him. It began as a rock album in 1970 before it ever reached a stage, and more than 50 years later it still sounds like a gig as much as a musical: loud guitars, huge vocals and almost no spoken dialogue.
Expect a story of friendship, fame, doubt and loyalty, packed with big anthems and powerful ballads, performed by our talented students.
